Ventilated Façade
Ventilated Façade systems use large brackets (and rails) to hold the cladding panels. There are numerous cladding types available including flat and profiled metal, reconstituted stone, brick slips, terracotta and more.
Masonry External Leaf
The masonry outer leaf is normally built onto a framed construction with partial-fill cavity insulation. There are several different ways of installing this type of system.
Application
For ventilated facades, URSA WALLTEC BLACK 32 or URSAPAN BLACK slabs are fixed, black face outermost, in a staggered pattern to masonry, timber frame and light metal frame walls between the brackets used to support the cladding system. A suitable air and vapour control layer should be fitted to timber and metal stud framed walls, on the inner surface behind the plasterboard, and timber frame walls will also need a breather membrane external to the sheathing.
For brick outer leaf systems, the insulation slabs are fixed horizontally to masonry, timber frame and light metal frame walls in a staggered, brick bond pattern, with all joints tightly butted together, before building the brick or block outer leaf.
