Adding URSA insulation to any rainscreen cladding system will, of course, improve its thermal performance to reduce the amount of energy needed to heat the building. That in itself helps to reduce the impact of construction projects on the environment, but as a glass mineral wool product, our insulation goes further;

• Manufactured from up to 73% recycled glass.

Glass mineral wool has the advantage of adapting to any imperfections to fit snugly around fixings and supports, adding to its insulation effectiveness. And at the end of its working life, glass mineral wool can be fully recycled. 

URSA products are also highly compressible, which helps to reduce the packaging needed and means more can be loaded on to every delivery – around two-and-a-half to three times more compared with stonewool insulation material, for example – which reduces the number of truck journeys and cuts down delivery miles.
